A couple weeks ago I spoke to a forum of over 80 guys (and a couple women!) who are interested in going down the same path that Ralph and I have gone down. It was wonderful to meet so many prospective fathers and to share our journey. It’s heart warming to know that we’re able to pass on the advice that we received for others to follow.
If you’re interested in becoming a dad and want more information, you can click here for a guide on where to start. It’s just a checklist of a few steps to start your journey.
Gay Dads Australia has a great round up of the Gay Dads Forum. Make sure to sign up to hear about the next one.
Yo Adrian, fantastic news : – ) It’s great to hear that your success is becoming so widely known in the gay and broader community, encouraging others to follow suit. I fall into the category of folk who are interested in having a baby or twins (!) either on my ownsome (if necessary – and then meeting the right partner later to raise my little family with me) or finding online or serendipitously another child-loving 30′s/40′s plus – in my case – hetero single, who wants, like me, to have a child even if the odds have been stacked against it for some time – either through not finding “the right mate” or from postponing any parenting attempts due to road blocks like ill health, ambivalence due to early childhood stuffed-upness (to use a polite phrase!) and any other diversion/anomalous circumstance defying the conservative norm of early cohabitation and nuclear family creation.
It sounds like things are going from great to wonderful for you and Ralph. Yay! I look forward to revisiting your earlier blogs and checking out your future steps in your parenting journey. Cheers, Tiya
